What is FaceTite?
As the body's supply of collagen and elastin begin to deplete, the skin will slowly begin to sag and wrinkle. This can be an area of concern for those hoping to avoid noticeable effects of aging. At 785 Aesthetic Med Spa, we offer FaceTite, a minimally invasive contouring system designed to reshape the face and restore your youth. FaceTite uses radiofrequency energy to coagulate fat and remodel tissue to provide a tighter and more youthful face without the downtime with surgical procedures, such as facelifts. Dr. Patrick Lucaci in Salina, KS is an expert in using FaceTite technology to help you love the face you see in the mirror.
Am I an Ideal Candidate for FaceTite?
FaceTite is designed to treat small sensitive areas of the face and neck suffering from mild to moderately lax skin or wrinkles. Patients who are pregnant or have had facial injections in the last 6 – 8 months should not undergo FaceTite. Ideal candidates for this procedure:
- Do not seek to remove fat
- Have lax skin or wrinkles on their face or neck
- Want to avoid surgery and its associated risks
- Are unhappy with the current state of their lower eyes, mouth, or neck
How is FaceTite performed?
Due to its minimally invasive nature, local anesthesia is all that is required in preparation for the FaceTite procedure. Once it has been administered, a small, non-aspirating cannula will be placed under the skin. This cannula uses radiofrequency to transfer thermal energy to the skin, causing it to contract. Sessions normally last about 45 minutes per treated area.
What is the Recovery Process for FaceTite?
Patients will be able to return home at the conclusion of their procedure. After a day of rest, patients will be able to get up and resume their day. However, it could take between 3 – 6 days for swelling and discoloration to subside. During this time of recovery, compression garments should be used to stimulate healing and improve results. Strenuous exercise and activity should be avoided for at least two weeks to reduce the risk of damaging the treated area.
While some results may be visible immediately, most patients don't begin to see results until about 3 – 8 weeks after surgery when the swelling has subsided and the face has settled into its new shape. As FaceTite is minimally invasive, there should be no scars in the treated area, provided the patient follows Dr. Lucaci's post-treatment skin care instructions. Results from the procedure are often long-lasting for patients who maintain a healthy weight and a proper diet.
What is AccuTite™?
AccuTite is the device Dr. Lucaci utilizes to perform RF skin tightening at his practice. It is the smallest, minimally invasive radiofrequency contraction device on the market. The device functions by using a technology called radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL), which works to melt fat and oil under the skin while simultaneously contracting the surface of the skin. This is all able to be performed without a knife or scalpel, and only requires the use of a local anesthetic. Depending on the treatment area, AccuTite sessions can be as short as 20 minutes, and most patients are able to return to their normal routines after 2 – 3 days.
