How Is MyEllevate Performed?
Prior to the procedure, local anesthesia will be administered in order to ensure the comfort of the patient throughout the entirety of the operation. Once the anesthesia has taken effect, Dr. Lucaci will utilize a light-guided suture system, known as ICLED®, in order to address the glands and muscles found underneath the skin of the neck by providing a support system throughout the neck and the back of the jawline. This new contour gives patients a much more defined and youthful appearance throughout the lower face, neck, and jawline. The procedure is performed entirely in-office and usually only takes around an hour to perform.
What To Expect After MyEllevate
Results from MyEllevate are instantaneous and long-lasting. In fact, many patients have seen results last for up to seven years after the procedure. Patients will go home wearing a chin strap and return the following day for a post-op appointment to ensure everything is healing properly. Within a few days, most patients feel comfortable going back to work. Due to the minimally invasive nature of the procedure, there are usually very few visible signs of an operation.
There may be some initial swelling and/or bruising, but this will usually subside within about a week. In order to prevent further swelling, we recommend that patients avoid heavy lifting and exercise during the first 1 – 2 weeks. Even after the swelling and bruising have faded, there may still be a slight amount of tightness in the neck and behind the ear when you look down. This is entirely expected and is caused by the support system of the sutures. Within 2 – 3 weeks of the procedure, this feeling is typically gone and most patients usually feel normal.
