What Is BOTOX?

BOTOX Cosmetic is a prescription medication that is injected into the muscle to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet lines, and lines between the eyebrows, also known as the “11s”.

Is BOTOX Painful?

There is minimal pain during the injection of BOTOX. We try to make the experience as comfortable as possible for our clients. Some of the things we can do to minimize pain include ice before and after, numbing ointment (most commonly used during a lip flip), use of a vibrating tool known as a “beauty bar,” and distraction.

What Areas Can Be Treated with BOTOX?

Cosmetic BOTOX can be used in many different areas. It can be used to treat the upper face such as forehead lines, crow’s feet, and the 11s. BOTOX is often used for the lower face to treat smoker’s lines, gummy smile, bunny lines, masseter muscle, frown lines (also known as marionette lines), chin dimpling, and platysmal or neck bands. It can also be used for a lip flip.

How Many Units Will I Need?

Everyone is unique and the number of units a patient needs to achieve their desired look varies. It is best to schedule a consultation with one of our providers to develop a customized treatment plan for you. During the consult, we will discuss what areas you would like to treat, your aesthetic goals, and more.

What Are the Side Effects of BOTOX?

Everyone responds a little differently to BOTOX treatment. Headache, slight bruising, bleeding, swelling, redness, and muscle weakness at the injection site are some of the most common side effects.

Will My Face Look Frozen After BOTOX?

Our team is trained to make you look natural. When injected properly, BOTOX can help you to have a more youthful appearance.

What Is the Difference Between BOTOX and Filler?

BOTOX decreases muscle activity in the face which causes wrinkles. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, add volume to the face.

How Often Is BOTOX Recommended?

Every client responds differently. The frequency of treatment depends upon how quickly they metabolize BOTOX. However, we typically see returning clients every 3-4 months.

Why Do I Need a Consult for BOTOX Treatment?

A consultation is an essential part of your treatment. During the consult, we will review your health history, assess your facial expressions, discuss your aesthetic goals, answer questions, and get to know you. We typically offer treatment on the same day as your consultation!
